I was sceptical about the whole idea of Hopkins set to contemporary music, but after listening to Sean O'Leary's The Alchemist it seems amazing that no one has ever done this before. I loved these songs from the sheer exuberance of the gospel-style Pied Beauty to the gentle repetition of the lines 'I am all at once what Christ is' in Nature's Bonfire, which moved me to tears.
